Are these real prices?
Yes. The plan shopper pulls live ACA Marketplace plans and prices for your county from HealthSherpa, with your estimated premium tax credit already subtracted. Your final price is confirmed when your application is complete.
Why do I need to enter an income?
Marketplace tax credits are based on your expected household income for the plan year. A rough estimate is enough to see prices; you can change it any time and the prices update.
Do I have to give my phone number or email to see plans?
No. You can see every plan and price with just a ZIP code, ages and an income estimate. You only share contact details if you want me to review a plan or enroll you.
What's the difference between the price shown and the full price?
The big number is what you'd pay each month after your estimated tax credit. The full price is the plan's premium before any credit. If your income changes, the credit changes too.
Can I enroll myself?
Yes. Pick a plan and apply through HealthSherpa's secure site with Friendly Health Company as your agent of record. It's the same plan and price as HealthCare.gov, and you get my help for free afterwards.
Who is not included in these prices?
Marketplace plans are for people under 65. Anyone 65 or older in your household is handled separately through Medicare. I focus on under-65 coverage, but call or text me and I'll point you to the right help.
